I'm in a state of lust.
The fairy tale came true.
I met a man in Monaco.
Alex is his name, coincidently the name of my last love. Put on a French accent and it sounds so romantic, he was so romantic.
The most romantic night of my life. (thus far)
I met Alex outside Monte Carlo casino while looking where the taxi stand had relocated as the grand prix was on only a couple days earlier and barricades were everywhere.
He asked me if I would like a tour guide for the next day, I hesitated and it was enough time for him to pull out a pen and paper and give me his number. He walked me to a taxi and instructed the driver to take me to my hotel.
Next day I was traveling to Nice, how very beautiful, I further traveled to Saint Paul de Vence , the medieval town perched on a mountain, the French people consumed me, the history of people past enveloped me. I loved the feeling, the loving couples walking hand in hand, I wanted the romance. Coming back from Saint Paul de Vence I decided to call Alex.
I told him I should be back in Monaco approximately 3.00pm, I will call when I arrive. 3.00pm I receive a call from Alex (caller ID) he was at my hotel.
I hoped of the bus, he gave me a kiss on both cheeks and I hoped into his car, all actions against my better judgment, but this was "holiday me".
We drove along the French Riviera for approximately 45mins, we stopped at Bouygues Sur Mer, he took my hand and we went for a walk along the cliffs on the coast, it was an amazing day, sky blue and the ocean a richer blue, large cruisers with attractive, wealthy occupants on the water.
He brought with him a French/English dictionary, his English isn't the best, but, I fall for the pidgeon English with the French accent....
We had a cool drink at a cafe' on the water, walked back to the car.
Alex asked me to dinner, I ran into my hotel room, jumped into the shower (the worlds fastest shower) slipped on my Dolce & Gabanna dress and joined him in the lobby.
We went to dinner at a beautiful French restaurant on a cliff top with a view along the coast facing Monte Carlo. It was overwhelming. Beautiful. Breathtaking.
French food, French food, French music, French man.
He looked longingly in my eyes, brushed my hair away from my face, gave me a light kiss...
I've never had this romance in one night - Aussie guys are different. I didn't know what to say - Aussie girls are different.
After dinner he walked me back to the hotel, gave me a kiss I will remember for the rest of my life. A night I will remember for the rest of my life...
I have been in constant contact with him since our one night together in Monaco. Text messages in English and cheeky French messages ;-)
