Na Zdraví! It's Easter Long Weekend!

This season I’ve started watching House, I enjoy it immensely, he says everything I would want to say but 'grin and bare' it instead. I can not watch this with mother dearest, every episode she attempts to diagnose the illness, I feel like screaming! Just because she works at the Children’s Hospital doesn’t mean she has to know every possible diagnostic. Why can’t she sit back relax and be entertained?

*****************************************************************

I’ve been going through the office file by file assessing what to keep what to dispose and best of all what to follow up to make a bit cashola.

I’m reading a site acquisition proposal and I’m thinking ‘this is similar to how I would write it’ I flip another couple of pages. There’s my ex managing directors name. I prepared the document 4 years ago.

*****************************************************************

My heart breaks:

No, it's not my Audi

*****************************************************************

Why is it when you’re only a few hundred dollars away from being broke (I can’t get into my ‘savings’) Visa decides that’s a great time to charge your annual credit card fee? Also, thanks pay by the month insurance.

I haven’t been paid yet – 5 days overdue.

It’s going to be a quite long weekend; thankfully I have BBQ’s and dinners at friend’s homes to keep the social expenditure low.

*****************************************************************

I’m Clarice! I had a guy stop me in the street and ask ‘who are your shoes’ I glanced sideways smiled and kept walking. Only thing going through my mind was this:

You're sooo ambitious, aren't you...? You know what you look like to me, with your good bag and your cheap shoes? You look like a rube. A well-scrubbed, hustling rube with a little taste...

I don’t even know what a ‘rube’ is however when he says it, it doesn’t sound complimentary.

*****************************************************************

I was in Bondi Junction with my mum on Saturday shopping; we bumped into Car Stalker guy. I had no choice other than introduce him to my mum…. Now she’s met The Car Stalker AND Dr D.

She said he has a lovely accent; great smile and physique but he has to do something with his eyebrows and wears too much cologne.

*****************************************************************

I found this:

I had my trepidations posting this information but this is my blog, my life and hey, most of you know intimate details about me by now anyway.

I've made an agreement with one of my closest friends, I need to loose 5kg, she needs to loose 30kg - we're going to support each other.

*****************************************************************

I have about 25 half written posts, I ordinarily write, post, not even bother with a proof read, read back in a few months when I can’t remember what I did that weekend.

I often see something interesting someone else has written and steal borrow their idea or I’m compelled to write a post based on their topic, well, I start something, I copy the link and 4 weeks later I’ve forgotten Lately I've been a bit busy with work so I click ‘keep’ on my RSS feed and come back to it in 3 weeks time.

How long is too long to write a rebuttal / complementary / commentary post based on another bloggers post and link back to it?

I do the same thing with posts that I want to do more than comment on, and I think it really doesn't matter how long you sit on your writing, as long as you link the original source...

Never too ,ong to post a comment or rebuttal on your own blog about someone elses posts, it is all good.
Very very sad about that Audi, someone must have pissed someone off way way too much!!!
I am a nurse, I love House, and I never try to diagnose whats going on. It does always end up being something obvious, if you look at the situation simplistically. But, I am the same as you, I love it when House says things I'd SOOO love to say at work LOL.

Indy, thanks babe - will do :-)

Ant, he wouldn't do that to an Audi?? No!

Cazzie!!! House is just great, how did i miss the first season (s) don't even know how long its been running. I generally dont watch medical shows as i cant bare to be subjected to the needles and the blood, i know its all special effects but it still gets me.

25 drafts?! I'm lucky to have one or two these days. I know the feeling though, you have an idea, let it develop then lose interest. Bah! Life takes over and it comes down to priorities.

Bring on VV!

you know sometimes someone writes a post and the post will stay in my head for a couple of months and may influence a post I write much later. By that stage my post is a different one to the one I would have written had I just sat down and written straight away.

It's never too late I don't think.

Don't hate me but that car thing made me laugh a bit. ;)

oh, the shoe thing: ROFL!

cBabe - some of my drafts are 3 sentences and inspiration has left the building... Life is so much more interesting :-)

Much VV to be had this weekend!!!

Mez - yay! i have one i'm linking to you actually. It's more like here's one of Mez's posts in my draft and one sentence hehehe. I'll post a pic of the killer shoes ;-)

I'm so proud of your weight less counter (Rosanna holds back sobs).

Also tres proud to read you love House. I have a crush on House. Not the man. But absolutely the TV Show!

House rocks. Make sure you go back and watch both of the earlier series, there is a lot of good house moments there for sure.

I know what you mean about drafts, i have a heap of half written drafts that have been in the draft stage so long that i forgot what they were going to be about. These days i make sure i just write the whole post in one go and post it, saving that whole "the post is half drafted" feeling

You people and your drafts! If I were that organised.
At the moment I'm like a dry well and I don't give a crap. I got nothin' and happy to be that way.

Maybe once my head is snot-less, my inspiration will come back. For now I'm happy to loll about in my jammies and eat crap.

I usually just read my posts once and hope that it's all not to much incoherent rambling...

The pick-axe Audi is something I have seen a few times before. That doesn't make me feel any better about it...

House is brilliant, and unfortunately, on the wrong date and time for me to catch most of the episodes. Thank God for TV shows on DVD...

Hahhahaa, isn't it so annoying when your parents meet someone you know that you don't particularly like, and they say "oooh, they seemed nice", and you're like, "No they're not! He / She is a jerk!", and your parents look all awkward and change the subject...

Rosanna, i don't think i'll be updating my little counter very often. I've plateaued :-( I only wish i could get away with a 10th of what House does - he's just great.

Greg, will do, i found really cheap dvd website.

I usually dont care about the half post thing, half my posts are disjointed and incomplete, i write it for me, memories connected are triggered and blog mission completed. I'll just go though them and post an entire unfinished post :-)

Steph, I'm not organised thats the issue. I start something get distracted and get back to it 3 weeks later and forget.

Have lots of chocolate babes :-)

Stormin' - i hardly read my posts back *blush* hope for the best..

How could anyone do something like that to such a beautiful Audi?

G_Boy, I'm happy car stalker didn't embarrass me like Dr D a year or so when my mum meet him. No, i didn't let mother know his alias ;-)
