I Really Really Really Love Sydney

Sang to the tune of Merrick & Rosso from breakie radio. I live in one of the most spectacular cities in the world!

Last night I went out with my great friend J. Mid-week outings have become one of my ultimate favorite things to do. Not as high expectations on a good party night out and usually only the locals are out and about.

We had dinner at Doyles one of Sydney's most famous international restaurants. Doyles will never fail to satisfy any seafood craving. Since J and I have become a "substitute couple", we thought nothing of walking into Doyle's and being seated by the window with a drop-dead romantic view over the Opera House and twinkling harbour and ordering the seafood chowder. It was very good, although more a thick bisque than a chowder and made even better with a good serving of buttery, garlicky garlic bread. Delicious and suppressingly full of people for a Wednesday night out...

We then ventured down the Overseas passenger terminal to Cruise Bar Shared a bottle of merlot, (it was supposed to be for their allegedly free Champagne for the ladies, but that finished at 7pm?) . Surrounded by what looked like a computer geek's. Not a desirable man in sight!

But when you are looking over Circular Quay at this view, how would I ever find "a good sort" when I'm looking at this...

We were at Cruise Bar until last drinks were called - on a school night!

There was no stopped us.

We wanted dessert. We popped into Wildfire for a delectable coconut souffle and had a cheese plate and ah I highly recommend both...

I'm so lucky to be living in this wonderful city I call home. Sydney.
