My task today:
Come up with 80-100 street names* for our development in North Queensland.
No. There wont be a ‘N Place’ but I am aiming for ‘*insert surname* Park’ ;-)
* Must be ‘in-line with the vision of the development’, no naughty suggestive names.

80 to 100 street names? GOOD LUCK! It isn't as much fun as you think, since you have to make sure it isn't too similar to other street names already in the area.
My suggestion: buy a big thesaurus.
How about 'ChickyBabe Place'??
LMAO!!!!
damn, that's a cool 'task'...
Make up crazy ones, ie. 'Huggabullagga Boulevard'...doesn't it sound aboriginal?
'Mustard Crescent'
'Whiplash Park Avenue'
'Cruzisnoozi street'
I could go on and on..
What about "Weirdefarkeyset Avenue"?
It's German for "I'm lost".
Jules - I have a list of all the street names in the municipality to cross refrence, thats the not so fun bit...
cBabe - 'ChickyBabe Place' is now on the list!
Come on Cibby, give me more ;-)
Jeut - LOVE it!
I think you should do a whole series named after food items and condiments.
I would LOVE to live on a mustard lane or a cheese street.
I also suggest cute old fashioned names like Enid and Beatrix. Beatrix Avenue would be a lovely street to live on!
Themes are the way to go for sure. Also, surnames of authors that you like.
But please, please can you include a Timmins Court?
Stuff the whole vision of the development crap.
I think your estate should have the theme "Roosters players past and present"....
And one day in the future I would love to purchase a property on Fittler Ave.
Dusty Crescent? That could work!
Birds are always a source of amusement for names. I think ornithologists do it on purpose just to alleviate the boredom.
- Cockatoo ? (maybe with a slight spelling change)
- Woodcock?
- Turkey cock (a male turkey... really)
The list is nearly endless.
Natalie, you are presumming that FNQ'ers can spell! They can't even spell beer...they pronounce it xxxx - LOL
Timmins court? Audrey you are a woman posessed. Nat, do us all a favour and don't encourage her!
How about 'Kramerica Crescent'?
Entire Seinfeld themes:
'Babu Bhatt Boulevard'
'Place Babs Kramer'
'Costanza Lane'
'Sakamano Road'
yessssss...
I'm thinking Nicholas Place, Nick Street, Natalie Crescent, and in honour of our Socceroo team, Viduka Circuit.
All the streets near me are from a bloody monopoly board... but it looks like they gave up when they couldn't find a road old enough to call "Old Kent".
I think you need to go with a theme though, and something that has at least 100 names you can use.
Constellations have probably been done to death, so I reckon go with Italian sports cars!
Audrey – chutney street and creamed corn place? LMAO
Token woman – ahhh a girl after my own heart.. Fittler Ave and Freddy Place?
Dusty – Unbelievable! So close to the vision ;-)
Scorpy – I have to keep that in mind They can't even spell beer...they pronounce it xxxx – LOVE IT!
Angela – I’ll try :-P
Cibby – FANTASTIC! ‘your mother is a whore park’ and ‘your father is an abusive alcohol place’ NEXT!
Nick – It’s in!
GB – I’ve got the theme, no choice there. My favourite so far is ‘Coco der mer’ wanna guess what my theme is???? Masserati Road? I could do that? And then have a condition, you must own one :-P
