Stressed and Burnt Out

It's been such a long time since I've had 'pressure' on the job. I forgot what it feel like, I've come to the conclusion over the last couple of weeks that I became complacent in my previous role. Don't get me wrong, I work and I work hard. There is an abundant difference that I just realised. I thrive on deadlines, I'm excitable when it comes to closing a deal, I love back to back meetings, I enjoy being the one that people come to for advise.

I'm back baby. The salesperson that I denied for a few years revealed itself from down where it was long forgotten.

But... I thought I was back.

I walked out of a meeting, into the fire stairs which may as well be my office and lent up against the wall took a deep breath and faught back the tears. My 3rd week on the job and I was threatened with legal action. Too often it's my job to fix someone else's mistake. 4 months of unresolved issues and it's up to me.

It took one email 'thanks for all your assistance today' to turn my afternoon into a blur of emails, phone calls and running up and down stairs. I still have a lot on my plate but now I have an overwhelming sense of accomplishment.

You Are 66% Burned Out

You are very burned out.
You need a huge break from your responsibilities, starting as soon as possible.
And you need this time to reevaluate what you really want out of your life.
Because you're working hard and going no where... and that would burn anyone out!

Your Worry Factor is 27%

You worry a little, but you usually don't go overboard.
You know it's good to recognize your fears, as long as you let go of them.
So whenever you start to worry too much, just take a deep breath and relax.
You're not the worrying kind - and there's no reason to start.

Tomorrow is another day and I endeavor triumph. I will not recoil. I will be stronger .

I dont even want to know how burnt out and worried I am.
But in the end its so much more fulfilling to have a busy job where you actually make a difference than a job where you just do 'stuff'

Mez! What! You need some serious R & R girl! I thought I was doing it tough as its only my 3rd week here and I'm a girl that always stress doesn't exist. Have a nice long drink tonight.

Del, so true! There's not much worse than twiddling fingers during working hours.

Cibby, i'll keep that in mind PS don't let Jas know next time you're having a drink, I'm acting all cool here.

Steph, thanks for the works of kick arse support. I'll do it baby!
