‘Girl’s Night’

You all know my feelings about ‘girl’s nights’ if not, I think it’s a fucking joke! The only reason I believe one of my girlfriends insists on having these charades is that her husband wants to go out with the boys.

Last night I was invited to two separate functions and wanting to attend one and then catch up with a friend is the norm in my social life, as expected I brought my friends with me… I was told off for brining a guy and worse still she and her two other little girlfriends sat away from us!

I had a great night with *my* friends, few guys and another girl and she left without even saying goodbye – fuck that! I did however receive a text of apology last night, subsequent phone call this morning.

I have no problem with the girls night out EXCEPT when it's masked as the 'let's pick up boys' night. I reckon it's girls night if you go with the girls, act like complete DAGS with the girls and then share a cab home with the girls. That's it. Better yet, make it a movie night. I hate it when it's a scam.

Which is funny...because most guys nights are about the same thing, hanging out, drinking a bit too much and telling stories about how good we were...chasing girls very rarely gets a look in on a "guys night"...unless its a weekend.

It was almost hilarious. Were they giving you the cold shoulder? In a bar? Sweet..

Mez - i'm with you on that, i love daggy girls nights. i intend never to go out on a 'lets pick up boys' night, i like it to just happen hehehhe

Indy - i love going out with the girls, but this 'girls only' policy just shits me

Gignam - we were seated and they came late and we needed more chairs, due to the reception we (i) chose to stay where we were.
