Argh!

I've made the decision, it's a decision that had to be made - It's done and going down next week. Not what I wanted and no other solution...

Okay, yes, it's a mistake. I know it's a mistake. But there are certain things in life where you know it's a mistake, but you don't really know it's a mistake. Because the only way to really know it's a mistake is to make the mistake and look back and say, "Yep, that was a mistake." So really, the bigger mistake would be to not make the mistake; because then you go your whole life not really knowing if something is a mistake or not. And damn it, I've made no mistakes! I've done all of this--my life, my relationship, my career--mistake free! (pause) Does any of this make sense to you?

Lets hope this is an adventure that had to be had and not a mistake.

Wine, Cheese and Elton John

The Hunter, what a wonderful way to spend the first weekend of December? Apparently we made 'good time' driving up in the rain after work Friday night, we ate home cooked lasagne and there was no hesitation hitting the wine.

Up at a reasonable hour the next morning, cooked an omelet and started our convoy-esque trek through the vineyards... 2 full cars, funky music playing and laughing.

Biggest laugh of the drive:

I will survive playing on the radio, 5 of us singing along, the other car delayed so we're driving approx 5km, we halt then one of the guys yells out 'everyone one out and dance' we jump out do a boogie for 3 seconds and jump back in the car!

D. was happy x 10000 when she found some Malbec wine. Oh yummo, I think we all bought a bottle!

In tradition we had a Saturday night BBQ, watched High School Musical - It was so bad. It was compulsive viewing; our excuse was that we were drinking from 10:00am. Dinner was delicious, almost everyone tired from eating and drinking too much, they didn’t want to go out and there was discussion in regard to what DVD watch or board game to play... Nup, I wanted to party! (the after lunch / cheese feast cat nap did wonders). I grabbed my bag and car keys and said ‘I’m going to see if I can hear Elton – who wants to come?’ I had a full car.

We drove to Tempest Two and the set up was amazing! I rolled (pressed button doesn’t have the same oomph) down the windows and we could hear him, I turned the corner and pulled up along the verge. We jumped out and saw a dozen or so groups of people scattered on the grassy knoll, we were like giggling teenage girls running along the grass for the most premium of views.

We sat on the grass and our view was sensational – I mean I’ve paid in excess of $100 for a view much the same. We were singing along to ‘sacrifice’ and called the rest of the party to join us. No more than 15 minutes later we were all together swaying and singing to “sorry seems to be the hardest word…” almost teary eyed, called and texted a couple of friends to say ‘listen to this! This is awesome!’

The rain bucketed down – I mean it was pelting! All but D and I ran to the car. Jokes on you, I had the keys!!! There was NO WAY I was going to let a little bit of rain affect this experience.

D and I were dancing in the rain on the top of the grassy hill to Crocodile Rock. You know when you you’re doing something and you just know ‘this moment is one of those moments you will forever look back on’ that was one of those times…

M came back with an umbrella just in time for Elton John’s finale - my favourite song of his (and George Michael) Don’t let the sun go down on me….

On an absolute high we started driving back, on the back roads to avoid the many coaches and the idea came to visit the Potters Barn. It was a good idea at the time; this country pub is a shock to the system. Example: Karaoke ‘Hit me with your best shot’ there were 2 woman up on stage as N said ‘those woman are made for comfort’ they started belting the tune out and supplemented the lyrics

Hit me in my wet spot
Tickle my G spot
Let me suck your big cock
Fire away!

We fell to pieces laughing, they sang with such a serious composure. They sang in a public bar. They sang the rest of the song. Same chorus. It was time to call it a night. And what an AWESOME night it was…

A CRAZY Night

A picture says a thousand words, no?

What does The opening night of the Canadian Film Festival, Possible Worlds at the Chauvel Cinema and a Lighting Company's Christmas Party have in common? Nothing.

I rushed my little self to the Chauvel after what could only be regarded as a huge day! Free drinks and nibbles before the movie and a really cool jazz band playing.

It was a delightful little movie (read Cibby's review).

The movie finished and in all honesty I was looking forward to bed. Then there was a phone call. Then there was a door.We went through after much hesitation... A free glass of bubbly and finger food. A huge auditorum full of good looking people?

We crashed a workplace Christmas Party!

My profession for the night was 'A Project Manager'... 'Project Administration' hehehehe...

A night I'm sure we'll all remember (or have fuzzy memories of) for the sheer randomness of the night.

The Best Dinner

Dad took me out to dinner for my birthday, we went to Rocket, he also pre-ordered the dessert.. Okay let me break it down:

- Starter: A leak soup which was absolutely divine
- Entree: I had Cured King Salmon with Shaved Fennel, White Nectarine & Limoncello sorbet topped with cavier that popped at precisely the right time
- Main: Rare Roasted New Zealand Venison with Caramelised Witlof; Lemon & Soy Vinaigrette
- Dessert: Chocolate and Baileys Souffle

We shared a couple bottles of wine, to top off the delightful dinner I had Cognac - I found out that night. I don't like Cognac :-P

My Birthday

My party was awesome! I ended up finding a little nook snuggled into RR all night to the early hours.... This resulted in me coming home at some random hour the next morning 'My birthday' well mother dearest wasn't impressed and said she wasn't coming to lunch anymore - yes, my birthday lunch.

Just after midday I was dressed and about to leave when I asked mother if she was serious. I met my sister and nephew for lunch at Prague. Mother didn't come.

That night I had dinner with a few of my closest friends at aBlaze. L's boyfriend secretly ordered a birthday cake *gush gush*.

A day I'll always refer to as 'colourful'.

Happy Birthday To Me

All the sex kittens and cool cats were out in force to celebrate my last 20 something birthday.

HM organised the venue, so me, a piano bar - Conservatory Bar at The Sheraton on the Park. I have fuzzy memories of sipping Bollinger, 10 second conversations and overwhelmed by the wonderfulness of my friends...

Special thanks to S who took me camera out of my handbag (ha! my, its my mums Dunhill Crocodile that i'm almost too scared to use). I'm hopeless with photos. I wont have any pictures to look back on when I'm older.

You know its a good night when you end up at

The Last Night Of The World

Last night I was taken to Miss Saigon as a birthday present from one of my girlfriends. Press Play while reading

This link is with the cast of the Sydney now playing at the Lyric Theatre Set during the final days leading up to the American evacuation of Saigon. Where love develops between an American GI and a Vietnamese woman. Emotions running high, teary eyed in most parts.

The movies in my mind
Two weeks of love, a love unparalleled. The extreme circumstances of Vietnam during the 70's. American Dreams and wishing the best at any length for a child.

Music that evokes emotion. I can't put into words...

MISS SAIGON lyrics

A beautiful production, the voices and music sensational. If you were ever considering seeing this musical now is the time to do it. And Chris (David Harris) isn't bad on the eye either *smiles*

The Matrix Bird and Silent Ninja's!

+ Spent over 6 hours in the sun waiting for cement to be poured

+ You know those contractors you see standing on the side of a road not doing anything wearing a hard hat, bright yellow or orange (mine was yellow) protective vest, ear plugs and steal cap boots. That was me all day Monday.

+ I have been teased for having 'a farmers tan'.

+ I participated in a Geological Field Trip over Tuesday and Wednesday which entailed climbing rock, looking at rocks, touching rocks and climbing rocks.

+ Birds are very odd creatures. Witnessed a long tailed bird just hovering just over the cliff face - The Matrix Bird!

+ Lunch was at Coolangatta Vineyard. The greatest tasting plate complemented by

+ I have been nicknamed 'Diva 2' by my boss, whooo hooo I'm not the most diva-ish!

+ Dinner with work colleagues on Tuesday night was at a gorgeous quaint restaurant Seagrass Brasserie. The food was divine, Butterflied Roasted Quail with Celeriac Puree & Mediterranean Capsicum Jam for entree followed by delicious Seared Ocean Trout Fillet with an Asparagus & Macadamia Salsa and Spanner Crab Aioli and dessert... I ordered a limon and lime tart and went halves with one of the Geo's wicked nutty chocolate. After finding the website I now know why.

+ Apparently I now have the respect of many of my colleagues based on my alcohol consumption. Well lets see the count. Ha lost count of white wine that was continuously filled during the evening. Dessert wine. It was time to go, 3/4 bottle of Cab Sav but, one catch no glasses... I was sharing the wine 'out of the bottle' with a couple of the guys. Buy wait there's more. I ended up sitting on the balcony of the 'big bosses' hotel room with a bottle of wine from the vineyard with a couple of the Geo's, everyone hammered! Some of the guys from the plant sneaking into the room NINJA!

+ People were talking about me on the trip - I was told to 'be careful, just be careful'

+ We went on a cruise to see cliff faces for the detailed rock formations dolphins and whales. Ohhh too hungover to be on the sea. We went past the heads onto the open sea Arhhh!

+ I was looking forward to coming home. Plans to see RR. I introduced him to semi- traditional Czech Cuisine. He likes. We shared a bottle of red and went back to his place for House and Prison Break... Another late, late night. Must stay in tonight. Must.

Little private notice - Wal: email me re Sat night. natsmirror@gmail.com its my b'day, would love you to be there. I forgot to get your details from V.

Aussie Acoustic Rock

Press Play while reading, its one of my favourite Aussie rock songs...

I went to my first ever concert at The Metro. Its a Sydney Institution and its taken me 28 years (well realistically 10).

Mark Seymour from Hunters and Collectors and James Raine, it doesn't get much more Aussie than that. Brilliant husky voice, goose bumps and singing along to almost every song.

Loved it.

Elvis V's Elton

Sometimes things...

- Melbourne Cup this year felt like such a non-event. I didn't have any plans nor invitations to go anywhere. My workplace ran a sweep and refreshments in the conference rooms. After the day before (food poisoning where I spent hours on Monday evening laying on the bathroom tiles just trying to keep cool) food and alcohol were not appetitesing.

- I had 2 consecutive alcohol free days, have a glass of faux champers on Melbourne Cup followed by another 2 alcohol free days. I feel a little more human.

- Wednesday morning my boss told me to 'pack up your desk and just get out of here' its what I needed I was getting frustrated. I spent the day down at the plant. I've booked in for my first day of the rig for Monday.

- I booked my birthday party venue with the assistance of HM, a big thank you. A jazz band and cocktails - bliss.

- After RR came to see me at the party on Saturday night(he has been nick names by Adelberto but I don't like the name he's allocated). We didn't have any plans to see each other until Friday. I was looking forward to it for 3 days. So impressed the novelty hasn't been lost.

- I made a mess of RR's kitchen last night. Yep, that's right. I cooked for him. He bought the wine... The wine we had on our first date, he gave a lingered look to see if I noted. He is impressing me.

- Take 2 we didn't make it to the movies after dinner. We ended up singing along with The Piano man and debating who is the better artist Elvis or Elton. After lots of wine we decided to conduct a poll at the lounge bar. Poll: Elvis or Elton???

- I got home today at midday and can't seem to wipe this grin from my face.

- This afternoon I received a phone call from a girl I've met once had only a couple of email communicant' she has invited me out to a concert tonight as she has a spare ticket. How awesome, this morning I was saying I wasn't overly interested in going to a house warming.

Happy days...

2 out of 3

The party season is hot on my doorstep with 3 birthday celebrations to attend in one night. All in the one suburb. Awesome.

First celebration was for the wonderful and beautiful Bec, we had drinks at The Bourbon – I LOVE happy hour! Even better when even its happy hour others are buying drinks. Pizza and faux champers with great friends. Bliss

It was already 11.00pm and I was supposed to be at party number 3. I dropped into party number 2 at The Lincoln, my entourage in tow. Seeing some familiar faces, some I haven’t seen for over a year. The music pumping accompanied by a saxophonist… Love it.

After about 20 minutes of mingling I bumped into some of my friends that were supposed to be at party number 3. The venue line up was too long and it was still raining, I thought to hang back a while… Apparently Bayswater Brassierie wasn’t letting anyone else into the venue, I’m happy were I was (and got happier) I tried out a pick up line in favour of one of my friends ‘Haaaave you met S…?’ It felt so fun. Must try that again some time.

I was almost ready to call it a night, many glasses of faux champers, I think 7 and the best, all bought for me! My phone buzzed, RR, within no time at all he was there, it was late, I was tipsy. I remember kissing him, I remember people leaving, I remember dancing and kissing. I remember smiling, I remember saying good night, I remember him finding a cab for me, I remember that smile from inside taxi window. I remember going to bed wishing he was next to me...

* yes kids for those of you counting, I’ve seen him several times this week but no future plans…

Tapas and Sangria

I met RR (I still don't have a nick name for him!) we went out for Tapas and Sangria. Such yummy food, great sangria, I'm enjoying his company... I’m enjoying his company more each time I see him….

After dinner we went back to his place to watch Prison Break *smiles* it wasn't on! How dare the programmers. He spent most of the night teasing me, laughing at me and kissing me.

A Free Tuesday

Tuesdays I have deemed my 'free night' I don't have any gym classes to attend and no other 'commitments'. It's a free day for whatever comes up... This week I was invited to a little house warming celebration at N's place. Funny, as I jumped into my inbox to jot down the address there was another house warming invitation from him for 2 weeks time? Big smile, I'm in the intimate dinner for 6.

I've said this a million times or more but I have the best friends dinner was delicious, yummy chicken with salad eg of the best mates ever: the salad was divided into 2 bowls, one with lettuce, sun dried tomatoes, avocado and shredded parmesan cheese the other bowl, fresh tomato and cucumber *squeals*

Happy Halloween?

Why do Aussies celebrate Halloween? I'll challenge any person who dressed up to explain in 25 words or less why.

BTW it's lollies, not candy!

Making a Decision

Sweet Navy Boy is (was) in town. He was flying in to Sydney at 1600 and shipping out the next day at 0800. He wanted to see me before leaving for 2 months. Tempting, I know our time together is always worthwhile... I declined with 'when you get back babes'.

I surprised myself at this.

With no other plans and shock revelation I then decided on going to the gym but when a application I have been working on for almost 6 weeks has finally been submitted my boss decided to take the team for a 'good work' drink. Who am I to say no? I said to myself one drink and I’ll go to the gym... 3 Vodka's later I decided to go home.

A Weekend

It's come and gone in a flash, my arm got the biggest work-out, well lifting a drink to lips is considered a work-out in my 'convenient theories for me'.

Friday night I did a drive by a friends house and By Jove I've never heard a story like it. A dialogue a soapie writer would pay top dollar. (Sorry guys, this one not going out there however much I want to tell!)

After an astonishing visit I met a few girlfriends for cheap and cheerful Thai in Chatswood. We compared dating stories and laughed about various chicky events and items. Fantastic! After a 2 hour seating when our meal took 15 minutes to inhale we finally decided on a new location to, to, lets face it. Drink. We headed to The Sheaf, it was a good crowd, not too many people. There was Miss Collegian Lips, Ms Fake Tits and many blokes who enjoyed staring at both. How I love people watching. After 2 vodka black ice (lolly water, it sounded good and refreshing at the time) I did the bolt.

Early, too early. 8am I was at the gym in preparation for my totally booked day. I ran a couple of errands before meeting my wonderful friends at Hyde Park for the Food and Wine festival - why aren't these things on every week? It was such a great day! The best company, sun shinning bright, lovely music playing in the background, I recall 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow' a couple glasses (I use that term loosely as plastic cups doesn't roll off the tongue as well). I tried rabbit for the first time and had my first sweet delight form Burke Street Bakery. A bit too much sun on my shoulders and white wine going to my head I headed home...

After approximately 1 hour of relaxation i.e watching a bit of The Blues Brothers it was time to get ready again. One of the girls in the finance department invited me out on a cruise her friend was orgainising. No matter how many times I say 'harbour cruises never live up to expectation' as soon as I have an invitation to be on our stunning harbour for a night I can't refuse? Hmmm... I had two of my girls in tow and dressed ha, here's a story - Work friend said to colleague 'don't wear jeans' I wore a pretty dress only to find out at the steps about to board the function was Black Tie. Faux Champers works on that embarrassment.

We all had copious amounts of champers, so much that the cruiser ran out hehehe... Food was 'okay' dessert was better, the DJ should be shot and I spent a good portion talking to a guy whose a personal trainer taking mental tips. Always looking out for myself. My girlfriends fighting off Irishman. One of them told me is was the rudest person he had ever met - I was just happy I understood him through the drunken slur. And hey, who's more rude?

The afterparty was at The Vault, a nice little day time bar in the middle of the CBD, I say again day time. It got to 1am and I hot the wall and escaped into a taxi, mental calculation, I think I had 7 champagne's or, should I say minimum. I had an argument with the taxi driver on the way home. What taxi driver doesn't have change for $10 I ask???

The next morning, seedy as all hell I got up and went to the gym again. Came home and did a few more errands before meeting my date for the afternoon. We met at The Olympic before the Sydney FC v Central Coast Mariners game (me being Sydney supporter Central Coast) rivals so early in the getting to know you stages. Hair of the dog and over to the game, which we won! YAY!

Afterwards we had a couple drinks at one of my favourite daggy goodness pubs in Paddington, sitting and chatting on the big read leather couches. We then had pizza for dinner and shared a bottle of red (so easy ordering pizza - bliss), 70's and 80's tunes playing in the background. After dinner we decided on a nightcap up the road a little further. I was determined not to have a late night, Wednesday did a number on me, he mentioned he was still recovering 2 days later and it was Sunday night after all. We kissed good night in the moonlight and arranged to see each other again at the first mutually convenient night... Me likey.

A weekend to replicate.

No Bellowing Smoke.. Steam-ey!

I had my second date with the boy*; he offered to cook me dinner at his abode, a smile broke across my face like I was a 16 year old girl again.

Wednesday night I went directly to his place after work, conveniently located less than 3 minutes down the Hwy, armed in my usual inappropriate working attire and carrying a bottle of red that I purchased earlier this year when I was at the Hunter Valley**. I felt a little belly flip walking up the stairs to his front door.

He had only been home a little while, he poured us a glass of wine each and commenced cooking me dinner. Great conversation while in the kitchen, I caught my self a few times with my eyes exploring his body with a smile.

The night went by in a flash. We kissed, just kissed for hours... He walked me to my car, kissed me again and we arranged to see each other again on Sunday afternoon***.

Next morning, I was in a conference and my mind kept wandering back to flashes of kissing him, my lips running along his neck. More.

*I haven't come up with a nick-name yet and he deserves more than just an initial
** Yes, this means I like him
*** I'm assuming this means he likes me too

Cause Ive Got You Under My Skin

Last Sunday afternoon I attended High Tea for the first time - I can't believe I'd never attended before. I coaxed my friends into spending the $40 for sparling wine, tea, cakes and scones and how was it you ask? Let me digress...

It was a warm Spring Sunday afternoon, my girlfriend and I dressed in understated attire, we walked up the dark wooded stairs illuminated by tea candles along the stairs. The jazz band were playing Sinatra, I've got you under my skin, we were led along the beautifully decorated Victoria Room to our table.

I've Got The World on a String playing in the background while we were being severed our sparling pink wine.

The 3 tiered display was placed on the end of our table, a delightful array of sweet and savory. The sandwich triangles with crusts removed, there were 4 tasty treats each delicious morsel better than the last, we had a vodka iced tea to complement while an Opera singer accompanied by a pianist was serenading the room. To finish the delightful afternoon a scone with cream and jam.

Such a wonderful afternoon... And to top it all off, a goodie bag to go.

I've Got Sunshine

Date night. Yes, Saturday is renowned as 'date night' and after too many months I actually had a date for date night.

We met last weekend, I gather he is a 3 day rule man. We planned for dinner.

Drinks for starters while entertaining a little get to know you better chit chat and deciding on the cuisine for the night.

We went for dinner, he suggested a bottle of wine to share (score!). We all know I'm a prime target for advertising with a 'tasty treat' on the menu I had to have it. Little fishies with their eye's staring up at us. Not at all what we expected...

Conversation was blissfully easy, he's intelligent, polite, well traveled and attraction (score!).

After dinner we went to a nearby bar for another drink. I felt oblivious to the surrounding crowd.

1am was fast approaching, how time flies. The car park was closing, he offered to walk me to my car (score!), I showed my appreciation by offering a lift home.

He jumped in my car, I usually have a standard disclaimer not allowed to judge my music. He said 'Otis Redding? Can I put on my favourite song?'. I'm always surprised when someone actually knows who Otis Redding is, seriously going well in my books.

We kissed good night, a kiss I can still feel... A kiss I long to feel again.

I made it known I would like to see him again. Wednesday night. He has offered to cook me dinner, or laugh at him trying to cook something.

I'm looking forward to it.

* Screw the deal breakers - he's younger and shorter than me. He goes my a mono-syllabic name.

*insert witty tittle*

My house sitting stint came to a holt this week. I'm now back on the east, my home.

The last week at the office has been inconceivably tense. It's all over the news.

I came home on Monday, poured myself a glass of wine and sat on the lounge, I slid down to the floor and started to cry. I still don't know why.

On Thursday night I had dinner with HJ, talking a million miles trying to catch up on the last 3 weeks. I miss working in the city.

My romantic life is on idle. I told the boy 'friends that kiss'. It's easier.

I've been speaking to the ex too frequently. He was seeing my friends sister when we broke up only to get back togetehr several months later. I found out last night.

I've attempted to go to the gym on 3 occasions this week. Sleep prevails. I'm getting chunkier.

It's almost 2.30pm on a Saturday afternoon, beautiful weather and I'm still in my PJ's. I can't fathom having a shower.

I hardly have time nor inclination to update my diary lately. I can't remember what's been happening. This week I'll be back on track.

This Is Totally Goining Into My Blog!

It's October Already?

Where did the year go? It fells like only a month ago I was walking to the beach each day, enjoying brunch with friends and looking for a job - since then I've had one full time job and already a month into a new role in another company. How did this happen?

How is it I haven't had time to write a blog post in over a week...? I feel distracted, I can't focus on anything. I should warn this post will be more disjointed than usual.

Since my adrenaline charged 'WTF happened there' of over a week ago I've been in hiding, not to say the event hideously affected me, surprisingly 2 days later I was fine. It's interesting the only person I wanted to talk to about this issue I've lost all rapport with, she is probably the only person who's been around long enough and knows me inside out to undersatand and give objective advice. Funny, we both know whats happening in each others worl even though we're not in contact direct. How life unfolds.

I've been generally moody the last couple of weeks, still not over what ever it was bothering me a while back. Things can only improve right?

So, I'm house sitting again and I'm not participating in my usual house sitting challenge of 'how much weight can I loose' or 'how many dvd's can I watch'or 'how many men can I fuck', I am however liking the idea of exploring this are. As a self confessed eastern suburbs snob the north shore in ingrained in me to be disliked. It's not so bad... Yes, since I've been here (just over a week) I've spent only 2 days over this side of the big bad bridge. What can I say, my life is in the east.

It is 'pretty' here, it's also a fucking mine-field of men I have dated, shagged and well all of the above. I hate the fact the most direct route between work and my temporary abode is via D's place, the crush I satisfied and thought *he* was interested in me too... I'm the inadvertent stalker - almost despise myself.

My health has taken the oddest turn of events. My usual monthly visit came a week and a half after the last. No idea why, can explain why I'm in so much more pain than usual. I want it over already.

The last post was my 800th. I can't believe it either. Who would''ve thought I'd continue anything for longer than 3 months? Not me. 800 posts - what a non event.

3 guesses ladies and gents! Which internationally recognised, national television personality was Miss N flirtatiously exchanging smiles with last week?

It occured to me at 8.35pm Sunday night I said 'I love you' to Mr J. How did that happen?

I always wondered how my online live would integrate into my IRL, Saturday was the first instance of a friend who reads my blog mentioning an action (a fun one) that I don''t want my real life to know about. Why not just say next time that I fucked his best friends and we've been able to keep it a secret for over a year and a half! That one best never come out.

Speaking of which, I wasn't really but anyway... Over the last couple of nights I've had flashes of *him* fucking me. Wait, images coming back to me with his firm, warm, sweaty body pressed hard against my skin. I'm gasping for air. Body contorting... Hmmm I reach over to his phone and call his friend to come join us.

Over the last couple of weeks I've had the most horrible of thoughts. Seriously kids brace yourself. All may be revealed early next year.

Dead Man Walking

Press play while reading (worth it to hear Teddy for 2 seconds and, well you'll see)

I saw Dead Man Walking the opera version on Thursday last week, interesting. A man facing the death penalty turned into an opera. Actually come to think of it opera is all about love, tragedy and death. 2 boxes ticked here.

This production includes one of (in my opinion) the best operatic voices Australia has to offer, Teddy Tahu Rhodes. His voice is string, penetrating, the hairs on my arms stand on end... The casts members did their job, in saying that I wasn't sold on the entire production. I admit, I was bored.

The set was impressive to the naked eye, on closer inspection it was scaffolding, whatever does the job.

Unfortunately the house wasn't at capacity but fortunately for us we were upgraded to A class reserve. My recommendation, hire the dvd.

Actions

Ever do something and know that all your morals, integrity have been thrown out the window?

Have you ever fantasied about an occasion and what you would do if the opportunity ever arose?

Experience something that was so unbelievably fantastic and know that the rest of your life could change from that one moment... If you let it.

Ever had a turn of events and feel like you can't tell anyone at all about it for fear of judgment. I know that there's no friend that I can talk to. It kills me.

I Love Long Weekends...

It's only Saturday morning and I can already tell it's going to be a cracker!

Friday started with a boozey work lunch at Cabana Bar, conveniently located near my new work place. The general manager bought 2 bottles of white wine with only 3 of us drinking wine while the others enjoying beers - me. White wine. Sun - conclusive to no work that afternoon...

I had planned on no plans for Friday night, I'm house sitting again, this time North of the big bad bridge. I wanted to unpack, buy some groceries and chill. I've been overaly tired the last couple of weeks, I was setting myself up for pure relaxation.

Just after lunch R. called and invited me to a movie Ï want to see The Bourne Ultimatum' I said immediately throwing my 'quite night in' plans out the window. He said he has a copy on DVD - Giddy up! He then offered to come over and cook me dinner. Would I ever decline this invitation? NEVER.

R. came around, man I love this guy and I just don't see him often enough. The best hugs and best of all, I feel 100% comfortable with him... He brought all indigents over, he cooked a delicious meal, we shared a bottle of wine. After dinner listening to music we danced together in the living room, just danced. In all my relationships with men I've never had dinner and danced in the living room, it was wonderful, something I'd like to occur sometime in the future. Later we went for a walk, this area is so quite at night. I'm not used to it. From this day forward I'm going to do all my grocery shopping at 9.30pm, no ones there (okay, not really - i'll try). Awesome. We popped the movie in, opened another bottle of wine, about 40 minutes into it I feel asleep while snuggled into him*

As I mentioned in my last post I've had a couple of the guys messaging me. Yep, I love the attention. Well, I found out my sweet navy boy is in Sydney. Being the long weekend its a perfect opportunity to catch up. 42 hours on land only. Conflicting schedules. I met him for breakfast this morning, I think today is the first time we've seen each other in the clear light of day. Oh, he's adorable... Until next time, December.

Ive been here for less than 24 hours and had 2 men here, my observation of a couple months ago that I'd be a huge scraggy slut when I move out alone is eventuating hehehe

Plans for the rest of the weekend:
- Take mum out for lunch (really soon)
- H's part 28th birthday
- O's 30th birthday
- Help mum with washing and cleaning tomorrow
- Grand final BBQ at N's place
- Bruch with the girls Monday

Lets get this party started!!!

* Not even a kiss guys, don't get the wrong idea. 10 years of friendship. The only guy I can sincerely exchange Í love you'
** I'm hoping this October long weekend doesn't turn out like 2005.

Wunderba

The last week and a half has gone by in a blur… I can’t be fucked writing, I can barely be fucked getting out of bed. Point form before I forget:

- Too late, I can’t think of what has been happening in life…

- Umm…

- Well I haven’t been to the gym much and it’s starting to show with my tummy sticking out of its hiding spot.

- Can’t remember what I did last Friday night? Ah?

- It had been so long since I’ve walked from Coggee to (almost to) Maroubra, the boardwalk has been updated and looks rather impressive.

- I received a text from BMW bike guy, sweet navy boy, some stray I deleted, the nice guy and Mr J to catch up over the next week and the best Dr D. He never ceases to entertain.

gm gm Madomoiselle aka Sassy Sexy Scintillating Senorita... ANother stunning day babe, don't you love spring, hmmm yummy... Now today would be just perfect to escape to a deserted beach for a day of total indulgences. I know I know I'm BAD BAD boy, lol... Have a great day D :-)

I just can't be bothered now.

- Saturday night was spent at a mates place with heaps of meat fresh of the BBQ, we felt like we were in Europe having eaten at 11.30pm and didn’t even notice the time.

- Dancing to ‘The Chicken Dance’ at 2.30 pm on a Sunday afternoon is just wrong on so many levels, but when it’s to a piano accordion camera avoidance is paramount.

- A friend of a friend was down from Coff’s Harbour, dinner was a quite night on Tuesday.

- This Friday I took mum out for Vietnamese, I wasn’t chuffed* – nice food, I’ve heard many people rave about my local Vietnamese, I need to go on recommendations next time.

- Saturday was HM’s birthday picnic at Botanic Gardens, with a horrible start to the day with sprinkles on my windscreen the afternoon was beautiful… A bottle of red to myself and lots on jelly snakes and chips, it was a perfect afternoon.

- F (say my name again) was having a BBQ at his place that night so half the party went along, it was a little cool on the water at McMahon’s Point, but the food, wine and company was worth borrowing a jumper and wrapping myself up in a blanket.

- Sunday I had planned to do my tax – nup, didn’t happen. Instead I took up the offer for lunch at Blue’s Point, to my surprise it was another picnic. Luckily I still had my blanket, cups and other miscellaneous picnicy things in the boot of my car.

- I have some great pictures from all 3 destinations on the harbour form the weekend but I can’t get any of the photos downloaded onto my phone – fuck phones! Anyone know how to work a Motorola V3i to get pictures on laptop please let me know before I punch someone.

- Receiving this message of CrackBook almost brought a tear to my eye...

miss you lots!!!!!

- I worked tonight at my old job for a few hours, no inappropriate behaviour.

Updates for 2 weeks – all here because I can’t be fucked opening another window

Job Status: I no longer feel like a deer in head lights however one of my colleges (out of a ‘team’ of 3) is on annual leave for 3 weeks – not only do I have to continue learning my job I have some of her tasks. What do I know about Government Relations? Pfft. I did receive an odd comment today ‘I keep forgetting you’re new here’ ???
Gym workouts: twice a week – must double it
Movies watched: Stardust
Reading: nothing – not even blogs
Diet: Only a few chocolate cupcakes this week
Alcohol consumption: To way too much alcohol in general
Song stuck in my mind: The chicken dance song
Quote of the Week:
I *need* some action

Random Observation: Slap dancing in public should never be done
Money Spent: No material items out of budget however I’m spending a lot of money generally.

* I hate that word… why did it just appear on the screen?
** I've been in a sour mood for the last few days without explanation

Red Lipstick. Smeared.

My first week of my new job was an overwhelming whirlwind - thank you APEC for making it a 4 day week, I think a 4 day first week on a new job should be introduced. I'll start a petition.

I felt totally lost for a good part of the 'meet and greets'. I know I wont be talking to the advertising person for the longest time maybe even for the entire duration of my employ... Oh well. I had some basic lessons on the 'processes' that I must familiarise myself with in order to do 'my job' (tell me again what that is?) I don't know the first thing about the resource industry!

Thursday was my site initiation, I need to know the properties I'll be managing / gaining access etc... In doing so, first stop was to purchase new Steel Cap's YAY! I didn't pay for them :-) (my old boots didn't suffice) I saw too many wells. I've been told they want me to be spend a couple days with the rig and I had a tour through the plant (induction to the plant in the coming week).

During the week I couldn't help it wonder 'why did they pick me for this job?' Then I remember: access to property, me property girl.

************************************

The news of Pavarotti passing brought a tear to my eye - such a great loss.

************************************

One of my girlfriends met a boy a couple weeks ago, he 'threw a sheep' at her on facebook then started messaging each other... A week later they went out on their first date, this was last Wednesday night, since then they have seen each Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday night (last I spoke to her was Monday, so I haven't had any further updates). I haven't seen her so illuminated in months, if not years. I wonder if has any idea? I wonder if guys ever know how us girls are when in the comfort of our closest friends

***********************************

I'm wondering why I have Hollywood crushes on villains? Timothy and James - my heart races....

**********************************

I'm toey as all hell... I was thinking it's been a while since I've had a bit of action, I struggled to think back and realised it wasn't that long ago... I was quick to reassess, my thought processed to 'the last time I had *good* sex'. Then my mind wandered to 'the last time I had *mind blowing* sex' ohhh too long. All I want is to be pushed up against a wall, hot, passionate, my clothes to be ripped off* and feel a mans touch all over me, everywhere... The lust and passion to last hours and hours and hours...

* not literally, I don't want my clothes ruined

*********************************

I don't know why or what had come over me during the weekend but the exposure to all my fantastic friends made me on edge, experiencing waves of intellectual inferiority.

************************************

I have a new 'work phone' AKA CrackBerry, together with a new phone number. Of course this is all part of the 'package' (laptop and parking too). I'm still using my current number and phone as the number is advertised and the organisation has a 'fair go' policy on internet usage, I'm assuming this policy would stream over to mobile phone usage and *that* is not a conversation I wish to endure.

On Sunday evening I received my first little text message:

Could c u doing me in Paris

Well, well, well.... Is this the first impression I've made on my first week at a new job? I asked my 'team leader' if my number was reassigned. As you would know it I received a phone call from a highly affluent politician asking to speak to a former employee - oops... I was allocated a new number, but before this happening the General Manager read the text and in the next *meeting* with 20 plus people it was referred to *blush*, if I thought I could fly under the radar for a few weeks I was wrong.

***********************************

I can't help it me politically incorrect in this statement - I don't like fat models or cheerleaders. Whats with this new movement towards 'real woman' in advertising?

*****************************

I had my first 'after work drink', not with colleagues yet of course. So nice to have a vodka with great company after work... I was in my usual rush of finish work, have drink, grocery shopping and cook dinner. No rest for the wicked.

********************************

Why are so many of my friends inviting me to "World Cup Rugby" functions? My care factor for this event couldn't be any less. Polite declines left right and centre.

*************************************

Things that impressed me this week:

- A friend coming over and bringing Moon Cakes
- A friend offering to contribute petrol money (when was the last time that happened?)
- A guy my friend recently started seeing being totally wrapped in her

I'm gonna be true if you let me...

Mr J offered to come over last night, bring a bottle of red, cheese and have a DVD night, after a visit to the hospital to see mum I didn't feel up to entertaining; he then tried convincing me to go to his place with the lure of a 'big' TV. I declined and decided to stay in and watch good bad TV in my PJ's.

Later, I mean late, I was preparing for bed Mr J rang to recite a love song, his personal rendition of Come Rain or Come Shine singing "Im gonna love you like nobody's loved you" then breaking into his rap sequence.

It’s a Small World After all…

I’m continually astounded by ‘degrees of separation’. Example: I met Cibby over the internet through the blogo-sphere, he’s from Canada, through Cib’s I’ve met a couple of his friends S. he is from Perth and I just found out I went to school with his cousin (nup, don’t remember him). What are the chances?

‘Girl’s Night’

You all know my feelings about ‘girl’s nights’ if not, I think it’s a fucking joke! The only reason I believe one of my girlfriends insists on having these charades is that her husband wants to go out with the boys.

Last night I was invited to two separate functions and wanting to attend one and then catch up with a friend is the norm in my social life, as expected I brought my friends with me… I was told off for brining a guy and worse still she and her two other little girlfriends sat away from us!

I had a great night with *my* friends, few guys and another girl and she left without even saying goodbye – fuck that! I did however receive a text of apology last night, subsequent phone call this morning.

Discombobulated

One of the many reason I do not wish to maintain my position at my current work place. During my tenure I’ve opened a can of worms, many of the offices / suites in the building did not seek Council approval for any alterations within their business. To this unbelievable revelation I requested all DA consents and Occupation Certificates, on one occasion the response was ‘I’m not familiar with either of those documents’ oh the horror…. I’ve mentioned bits and pieces over the last 6 months about the building, it didn’t comply with Essential Fire Services (fixed, with no money to complete the work thank you very much), air conditioning doesn’t comply with BCA (one repair pending – the car park exhaust system then it will), the entire building suffers from temperature fluctuations which is not due to the exhaust system but each occupant placing partitions without consulting Council or the buildings contractor’s and one of the occupants even put a ‘computer server room’ right next to a thermostat therefore calling for cool air for that entire section where employees complain about how cold it is. Okay enough background; suffice to say everyone in my office has received regular updates and privy to my surprise. This morning my boss arranged a builder come into our office to measure up and quote on building a boardroom, the proposed works will affect compliance of fire regulations and change air flow; he is not seeking advice from the buildings consultants. I can’t wait to get out of here.

Week 34 - 2007

Job Status: I just resigned (really, it was 12.50pm) I gave 2 weeks notice and I commence my new role 3rd September
Gym workouts: Still not getting enough – my tummy is sticking out of it’s hiding spot
Movies watched: Fracture, Clambake, (My Elvis Tribute) Three Amigos
Reading: Since Wednesday I’ve been doing research for my new role as it’s not directly in the property or finance industries...
Diet: Ohh Chocolate!!!!!
Alcohol consumption: The warmer weather and celebrations saw lots-a-lots of Champaign
Song stuck in my mind: Shania Twain - That Dont Impress Me Much

That don't impress me much!
So you got the brains, but have you got the touch?
(Now) Don't get me wrong, yeah I think you're alright
But that won't keep me warm in the middle of the night
That don't impress me much!

Quote of the Week:

We’re going out for dessert, not dinner. Just dessert

Random Observation: I’ve been spending more time on my blog and blog buddies also trying to figure out what function Fakebook really provides…?
Money Spent: nothing out of budget

Indulgence

My weekend was chockablock of fun delicious goodness!

+ Friday long lunch with friends where I had delicious creamy spaghetti at a Japanese restaurant

+ Straight after work met HM for Nina’s birthday drinks at The Arthouse, shared a bottle of Champaign

+ Raced across to Darling Harbour to meet HJ at Oscars where we were planned to ‘go out for dessert’ and that’s exactly what we did Four Chocolate Desserts with a Jug of Warm Chocolate Sauce to Pour. Perfect for Two. (Chocolate Brulee Tart, White Chocolate Berry Square, Chocolate Concord Mousse and Chocolate Panacotta) where it says two, we had one each

+ HJ and I then went to The Sheaf for further drinks and what we thought would be a dance – when did The Sheaf start catering for heavy metal enthusiasts?

+ Saturday morning I cooked myself a yummy omelet, watched a couple few episodes of Buffy while dousing the unit specifically the bathroom with bleach

+ The afternoon and I mean the afternoon – 4 hours I spent at the hair dresser

+ D. came to pick me up from home when I had been there only enough time to break my top, I was ready in 10 minutes plastering makeup on and picking whatever didn’t need ironing, matching my killer heels. So happy, she said my mum is so lovely – yay!

+ Off to Nick’s birthday at The White Horse with all my best buddies, time flew! Before I knew it my ride wanted to hit the ground running to our next function

+ K’s welcome home drinks at Cargo Bar. I hate this venue, pretentious passport requiring douchebags - we were denied access by the door monkeys. I will forever claim it’s because I was with 3 guys. Worse still I left one party to go and my friends stayed! Thanks to V who came and met us later

+ One a rainy night S and I went to Bungalow 8 (owned by same crappo management as above), drank and danced and kissed the night away

+ Lazy Sunday, I laid in bed staring at the ceiling till too late had a small breaky and chat with mum – the best long shower, sometimes the water gets to that perfect temperature and I just love standing there having the water caress my skin…

+ Running late! I race over to S’s place, forget to pick up the bottle of wine I thought to bring and Cibby gave me a cooking recipe – milk steamed chicken. Yummo! We watched Three Amigos while it was cooking

+ I told my friend he was in my bad book for leaving a mark on my neck. So embarrassing and yet so refreshing to feel like a teenager again

+ I totally forgot I had planed on meeting BMW bike guy for coffee / drink that afternoon. Too late and headed home

+ Phone call in the late afternoon from my contractor (it’s Sunday – fuck off!) oh yea, well he asked me ‘when are we going to fuck?’ I answered with silence

+ Spent the night watching good bad TV – why do I enjoy Idol so much? It’s such a bad show!

+ I had the greatest night sleep but didn’t want to get out of bed today…

+ I still have to speak to my boss and resign

Good Fortune

Monday 13th August I was given a fortune cookie:

Don’t hate Mondays.
It could be the start of the best week of your life.

1. Last week I finally felt healthy, this virus that’s been lingering has now left the building
2. I got a new job, one that I’m really excited about

3. Champaign was bought for me on Friday night

4. A boy kissed me, a nice boy

Public Transportation

I’ve never been a fan of public transport; many of my friends have made jokes about me actually catching a bus, my current role is the only job I’ve had since I started driving that I’ve had to commute – when I say commute it’s a 5 minute bus ride and a 9 minute train, it’s the waiting at the terminals / stops / platforms that gets me. My experiences in the past haven’t been rather pleasurable either, who could forget the time I was on the bus with V and a guy blew in my hair? Bleh! However I have made the observation that the men on the 0630 train are so much better looking than the ones on the 0830 train.

Each day I pick up Mx a free newspaper to read on the journey I’ve often read the section ‘vent your spleen’ and thought all these people are ranting about how bad the trains are, I start thinking there are people out there so much more precious than me, it’s not that bad, I can count on one hand the amount of times I’ve had to stand on the train. This week with my 0800 interview followed by 1800 second interview I was in amidst the crowds whoa baby the north shore line is deplorable! People jammed everywhere, the girl with the iPod blaring, another talking about her evening plans to loud, a guys computer bag hitting me in the head, when I wanted to get off people don’t move – nuts! I now get it.

Last night I went to see a movie straight after work (Fracture – see it, even just for the classy acting) leaving the cinema I went down to the bus stop to head off home. My terminal is right next to the Apple store where a woman in her late 40’s or so walked out with one of the employees with 2 huge boxes (computer and printer it looked like), they went across the road and waited for a cab, the worker left after a little while and the lady was waiting. I couldn’t believe my eyes, she hailed a taxi’s combined taxi and it went straight past her and picked up a young lady from the corner. Rude! Moments later a Silver Service Taxi slowed down then ran past her and picked up a young man standing 10 meters away. I could believe my eyes! Finally this poor woman get a cab, a St George taxi where the driver jumped out and offered to help put her goods into the car, I could see from across the road the relief that a taxi finally picked her up.

This morning… I have 4 or 5 buses I can catch from the nearest stop near my residence. I decided to start work a little later today (normal time for most – 9am) unfortunately when I have more time I use more time so I ended up having to run for the bus, when I say run it was more like a totter down the slight decline in my stiletto boots. When I got the buses font door the driver closed them on me and was smiling, I didn’t know what to think then he opened the door and laughed what a cheeky bugger! A couple of stops later a lady with a couple of small children and a pram, Mr bus driver offered to assist – wow, thoroughly impressed, I even wrote a 'compliment' on the Sydney Buses website.

Sexy Man #3

Elvis Presley - 30 years after his death and he's still The King. My love for Elvis has been passed down through my mother, when I was growing up I wouldn't be watching Disney cartoons like the rest of my friends I'd be watching Musical Comedies - I still love many of them today.

I've never heard a person say they didn't love Elvis, his music revolutionised Rock n Roll, his moves sent woman into a frenzy and 30 years on Elvis is still a huge money maker. Also, how many people do you know with the name 'Lisa Marie'. My sister named after her (just the first name) and I got the middle name :-)

My favourite all time Elvis movie is Clambake, The story is cute with Tom (Elvis) an heir to an oil mogul who would like to finally met a woman that liked him for him, not his money. When he is at a petrol station he mets a ski instructor and they trade places. It's very cute, Shelly Fabares is gorgeous - how I wanted her wardrobe when I was younger... When ever I hear Elvis singing The Girl I Never Loved I get a little choked up. I can quite intently say I've seen 90% of Elvis's movies, they're not all great some are almost painful and the only thing to bring me back for more is the music.

My favourite (how can I really say a favuorite) Elvis song is Such a Night - watch the clip from 3000 Miles from Graceland
It was a night oo-oo what a night
It was it really was such a night
The moon was bright oh how so bright
It was it really was such a night
The night was alight with stars above
Oo-oo when she kissed me
I had to fall in love

Others that I love and get filled with joy singing and as I've divulged previously I enjoy doing the housework (specifically vacuuming) while listening and dancing to The Kings music:

Can't Help Falling in Love
You're The Devil in Disguise
Suspicious Minds
A Little Less Conversation - what a sensational remix
Jail House Rock
What I'd Say (Ray Charles version too) I love this song performed in Viva Las Vegas
Frankie and Johnny - which I've had in my mind all day

Updated: Compliments to Mez, I had forgotten this beautiful song.

Now all I need to do is find a man that would agree to get married in Vegas in The Little Chapel by Elvis. Maybe a little easier… Anyone up for all you can eat pizza at The Elvis Pizzeria - A hunk a hunk of love.

Chivalry and Snobbery

Ordinarily I’m sitting at my desk during working hours; people know where to find me, if I’m not greeting a client with a smile when they walk through the door they know I’m just a phone call away unfortunately I spend too much time of the day running up and down fire wells and it sounds echoey almost like I may be in the bathroom (embarrassing).

Almost all my contractors and or tradies have mentioned I’m one of very few women they come across in this line of work, they’re all lovely, spend tat extra time chatting away, bring me a coffee occasionally, take me out for lunches or dinner – the highlights and perks of a job like this.

This afternoon I had a sub contractor* come into the office and request I move one of the cars from the loading dock so he may exit. I ‘lock’ my computer pick up my phone and extensive collection of keys and without hesitation assist. He walks out the door and it closes heavy forcing me to open myself** okay, a little rude but I accept it. We are waiting at the elevator as soon as the doors open he bustles in hmm… I’m used to the guys gesturing for me to lead. I take a look at this man as an example of not being a gentleman. I look a little closer and note he’s wearing a T-shirt with ‘Toongabbie’*** on the breast – what else would I expect!

* I didn’t appoint this guy and I’ll never commission him to do work for me.
** I try to open the door myself for all clients :-)
*** Westie Bogan (please do not ridicule, I do have friends from that area – okay 1)

Week 33 - 2007

Job Status: I feel uncomfortable in the office. I go outside to make most of my business related phone calls. One of my landlords doesn’t come into the office anymore because he said ‘I don’t feel welcome in there’. Relief it’s not just me. Second interview with big company tomorrow (the whole, have own business thing is still happening – I just need to wait for my ‘corporations licence’ and I’m freaking out about PI insurance etc)
Gym workouts: It’s so hard to get back into routine!
Movies watched: Nothing (I think - memory going)
Reading: I read 2 pages of my book, couldn't keep my eyes open
Diet: I’m craving greasy food
Alcohol consumption: Nice and consistent not excessive
Song stuck in my mind: The song doesn’t have any lyrics – it’s an African style drum / dance track that I love and no idea how to find it to download. I don’t think Google will recognize Ba Ba.. ba ba bababababaaah ba ba. Be. Ba. Ba. Ba. Ba. Ba bada
Quote of the Week:
It’s an interesting phenomenon when you get a little excited about seeing someone who is ‘just a friend’

Who is he?

Just a friend

Random Observation: My snobbery is prevalent
Money Spent: I bought a $10 top reduced from $79.95 and a $23.50 top reduced from $119.95 - Bargain! How I Met Your Mother complete first season and Little Miss Sunshine on DVD

Just a Click of a Button

I’ve been reading about eligibility for a US Green Card. The whole lottery thing riddles me with nervousness – I never win anything. This I want to do. I have itchy feet, I’m feeling frustrated at my everyday life, I’m idling. Would going to another country for a few months a few years make a difference? Should I still and ponder if working abroad could change / influence my life at all. Should I not wonder and just click that little button? Do I register for 1 year, 2 years or 4 years? What if something monumental happens in my Sydney life? Would I still go if accepted (won) If I don’t hit that little button would I regret it and always wonder or even worse look back at my life in 40 years time over a Bridge game and regret never taking the opportunity to live my life elsewhere…

Must Do Something!

I’ve booked my little get away for New Years Eve – New Caledonia here I come! I can’t wait that long, really can’t. My girlfriend and I are trying to work out when we can get away for a weekend. Our specifications are somewhere hot, must have pool, exciting, different, not too expensive, not too far (my lovely lady hasn’t been on a plane before).

I want to cross something of my Aussie “to do list” i.e. Snorkeling at Great Barrier Reef, trek up the Big Red Rock, line dancing in Tamworth at the Country Festival, Crocodile sighting in NT, attend a Rodeo in QLD and ride a mechanical bull, see the Bungle Bungles, walk through a rainforest in The Kimberley’s.

Now it’s timing… I’m one to make a quick decision when it comes to holiday / travel and it’s only a weekend – easy? I think not. The nest two weekends I have functions. Mother goes into hospital on 27th August for an operation on her feet; therefore mum won’t be able to get around for what they say 2 – 3 weeks. I’ll be house-sitting for a girlfriend end of September for 2 and a half weeks. Before I know it October, we have a long weekend to contend with as my travel buddy is going away. I had a quick look at flights and there’s a big sale commencing 13th October*. The next available weekend it is! That’s still over 2 months away.

Now… Where to go?

*Flight sale regardless we will be looking at Virgin Happy Hour too

Um Okay

My girlfriend I house-sat for was filming a documentary and loads of photography while away in Niue (her images from Northern Territory were published in National Geographic a couple months ago). When I spoke to her last night she mentioned her landscape and animal photography is steady but she needs to work on 'people' as her subject, she then asked if I would be interested in posing for her. Nudes - still life…

My Day Today...

Top 100 Movies

I found the top 100 movies ever made (like the book list - according to who?) over at Heather’s and as a self-confessed movie buff I realise I haven’t seen all that many. Last year I made a list of all movies I want to watch and asked my fellow bloggers to add to the list, I’m slowly making my way through it – thanks guys! More, more, more….

I’ve seen all in bold. Want to see in Italics

1. CITIZEN KANE (1941)
2. CASABLANCA (1942)
3. THE GODFATHER (1972) - So long since I've seen it, I'm planning on reading the book.
4. GONE WITH THE WIND (1939)
5. LAWRENCE OF ARABIA (1962)
6. THE WIZARD OF OZ (1939) - Somewhere over the rainbow, is so beautiful and what girl wouldn't want a pair of red glittery shoes ;-)
7. THE GRADUATE (1967)
8. ON THE WATERFRONT (1954)
9. SCHINDLER'S LIST (1993)
10. SINGIN' IN THE RAIN (1952) - You are my lucky star.... Yes, yes, yes, no, no, no. One of my all time favourite movies. I would've watched it over 100 times, no joke. Almost every weekend I popped it on when I was younger.
11. IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE (1946) - Brings a tear to my eye, even if I only see the last scenes. Powerful and wonderful.
12. SUNSET BOULEVARD (1950)
13. THE BRIDGE ON THE RIVER KWAI (1957)
14. SOME LIKE IT HOT (1959)
15. STAR WARS (1977) - Not a fan
16. ALL ABOUT EVE (1950)
