Cause Ive Got You Under My Skin

Last Sunday afternoon I attended High Tea for the first time - I can't believe I'd never attended before. I coaxed my friends into spending the $40 for sparling wine, tea, cakes and scones and how was it you ask? Let me digress...

It was a warm Spring Sunday afternoon, my girlfriend and I dressed in understated attire, we walked up the dark wooded stairs illuminated by tea candles along the stairs. The jazz band were playing Sinatra, I've got you under my skin, we were led along the beautifully decorated Victoria Room to our table.

I've Got The World on a String playing in the background while we were being severed our sparling pink wine.

The 3 tiered display was placed on the end of our table, a delightful array of sweet and savory. The sandwich triangles with crusts removed, there were 4 tasty treats each delicious morsel better than the last, we had a vodka iced tea to complement while an Opera singer accompanied by a pianist was serenading the room. To finish the delightful afternoon a scone with cream and jam.

Such a wonderful afternoon... And to top it all off, a goodie bag to go.
