Sharing Me

I’m under no illusions. My insecurities are fighting my elitist confidence.

My internal confliction may or may not have foundation, it’s a gut instinct.

Passion. There is passion. We came through the front door, exchanged the look of lust, kissed, dropped our bags and started tearing at each others clothes…

Conversation, I’m comfortable, I talk openly. He talks openly. Topics vary; I ask questions, my thoughts drift..

Relaxation, television, drinking wine, he pulls me into him, I find my nook, I drift to sleep…

Sleeping… It’s a school night. I don’t like having men stay over the best of times let alone on a Monday night! I ask, he stays, we both toss and turn for an hour, he leaves.

Goodnight, no arrangements to meet again.

The novelty* has worn thin simultaneously…

* I’m a self confessed Neophile

I swear the older I get, the quicker the novelty wears off. Sigh...

the novelty wears off quickly when there's little to no potential. when he's "Mr Right" or "Mr Right for Now", you won't be willing to write it off quite as quickly.
chin up babes, on to bigger and better things :)

Your dumping him already???

Damn!!! So another one of Nat's playthings cast aside to the greater refuse pile that is Sydney...

And I do agree with Vicki, no potential is a quick novelty killer...or was the sex bad last night ~grin~

Sarah - Tell me about it! My idea of a long term relationship these days is staying to order dessert ;-)

Vikki - He's lovelly, I just don't see any prospect of 'forever' so whats the point?

Indy: I don't know if I'm 'dumping' already, I'm just being aware of my emotional status.

For the record the sex was great, I mean GREAT! Hmmm... Should I keep my plaything? Fuck yeah! No, no, no... I'm not like that! Who am I kidding - I'm capable of that ;-)

General Boy, you're a long time reader, you should know me better than that. It's self preservation... If he does call and arrange another meeting I'm up for it. Remember that protection shield I have.

oh, I know all about that self preservation thing - believe me. It tends to come and bite you on the arse though, unfortunately.

Damn Nat...reading your reply to GB does thast mean you are going to start pulling the 'Sorry I have committments' routine??? :) or are you talking about another type of protection device that men carry around in their wallets until the expiry date fails? LOL

this is very troubling. very, very, very troubling.

Too bad the sleep over did not work for you. Every day I look forward to the all night cuddles, caresses and whispers.

M- I know what your saying, i will take on board.

Scorpy, the thing is, I have committments. I only have time for 1 maybe 2 phone calls a week and 1 meeting. I like my space and time :-)

As for the other protection device... Giddy up!

treespotter - you can't say very very very troubling and not explain why...

Sarah - mine's 6 foot brick - hehehe he's taller than that ;-)

David, that is so sweet! :-)

mushroom - I like the way you think. It sure is!

ant - I'm preserving my heart... not allowing myself to become emotionally attached without valid reason. I don't see this relationship going aywhere further than the bedroom.

Babes, I don't offended *that* easily :-)
