I received a phone call from MMM, the one that dumped me for a hooker, yeah great. It was his birthday party at Tonic Lounge and surprise-surprise I got an invitation, trying to gain numbers I suspect. I was to be my friends date to a birthday party at SoHo just around the corner so I said I’ll try to drop in. Why? *slap* *slap*
I visualised my outfit for a big night out, my opera gloves and fur were going to have an adventure to the cross… A few hours later the storms brewing outside combined with the thought of public transport I pulled out.
Why is it when it rains it pours? Last night it was literally, M called he’s back from Nevada, Tennessee, other US states that I just ‘yepped’ my way through the list and Hong Kong, he’s back home for a month before his next trip, he was wondering what I was doing ‘later’. No buddy, not going back there…
With my new plans of staying out of the horrible weather I watched Step Up and Firewall, was in my PJ’s by 8pm, no alcohol consumed.
A bit later another friend called to catch up for coffee and cake. I had just put in my second DVD for the night and though I was very tempted, Mickey’s desserts are to die for I thought canceling plans with one person, not attending another birthday party and not taking up M’s invitation I best stay in my very comfortable and warm lounge room… So that’s what I did.

I wish I could have that kind of cancel-everything day tomorrow, instead I have to put on clothes and go places. I hope you had fun chillin at the pad.
There's nothing wrong with a night in. Sometimes it is everything that you need, and you don't have to go anywhere to get it...
wren, it was the best night AND my friend wasn't too upset by me canceling last minute, i hung on her lounge and watched Heroes on DVD - the bestest weekend!
The S.M - I love a good night in, especially on a rainy night a couple of DVD's. Sometimes the simple things are the best.
I've spent many a debauched night in the Soho bar, but then, the weather was shite so I don't blame you for staying in.
Sometimes quiet nights are the best!!! Esp when the weather is bad. I hate going out in the rain!
Ohhhhhhhhhh I've so been there Natalie!!!
And I bet you don't regret it! Been there... some nights are great for quiet time.
I kind of LOVE those nothing nights!
There has been a social insurgance of 'nothing nights' of late.
AND IT ROCKS!
Go Nat. You made the right decision.
Oh man, I sooo hate it when folk invite me to stuff just to bump up numbers. Like they seriously give a damn...
Dial-a-buddy.
Usually they're met with a very reasonable: "NO, FUCK RIGHT OFF!"
You made the right choice... :-)
Mmmm *bliss*
Sometimes those are the best nights.
that's ok, we can get Mickey's another time... I ended up staying in, buying a Cadbury's Easter Egg and sucking out the insides as I watched Seinfeld episodes..
