You should start socialising with more attractive people. When you associate with ugly friends people will get the same impression of you.

My saying is it aint whats on the outside that counts, it is what is on the inside. Sounds cliche and all but it is true.
Once, my son and I were watching TV and a NEWS break came on. He said, "Mum, do you hate that lady?" pertaining to the TV presenter. I said "No, why?" he said, "Because she is ugly". Well, he was right but I said to him, "Tom, you can't hate someone because of how they look. You can dislike someone for something they have done that is bad, but not for their looks you know."
There's an old man that frequents our shopping plaza. We thought he was the bag man...he is actually the owner of the whole centre!!! His wife dresses like Queen of Sheeba, am guessing she is just making up for her husband's inadequacy :)

I like to believe i'm not that superficial. I generally don't like anyone and for no good reason. It works well for me.
As for appearances, I never judge a book by it's cover. I never burn bridges either.
Ha! Laughing at alphachick's comment... exactly what I wanted to say!!! Seriuosly though, I've seen some of the pics of you and your freinds all dressed up for a night out, and, well, hubba hubba is all I can say!

G_Boy, alphachick is a real life friend ;-) she knows my mother and her comments well - 12 years of friendship.
C'mon, you have to admit, its hilarious. I just wish i could remember all her comments. My breathing stops at least once a day by a remark.
Unbelievable! When I first read it quickly I thought she said, "socialise with ugly ones so that you would stand out" - equally bad.
