Nostalgic Observation

When I went out partying 10 years ago, as a fresh 18 years old, getting all dressed up in those hot little dresses, ultra mini-skirts that no longer fit over my thigh, I wouldn’t eat the entire day so I would have a ‘flat tummy’. Nowadays when I go out, I make sure I have a hearty meal before consuming a drop of alcohol.

How times have changed. I’m getting older…

Yeah.. but look at many 18 yr old girls now. They don't care what their tummy looks like and many a 'muffin top' hangs over low slung jeans pulled up over expanding thighs...Mutton dressed as lamb LOL

I used to be able to stay out all night partying - now I'm all like 'gee, so much to do tomorrow'. lol.

I used to go out till the bars closed (3 am) and then go for the late night meal... shish taouk, chinese, pizza. Those were great times, but now I like getting up in the morning, going for a run and having a good breakfast.

I never fit in a short miniskirt back then, either, though.

M - aren't responsibilities horrible!

lulu, there was always a midnight cheeseburger if i was out in the city or a giant pizza slice on oxford, oh those were the days

CB - 18 and didn't drink? What? No west coast coolers?

Swagato, feeling old when i go out now, only becasue of all the 18 & 19 yo's around ;-)

Treespotter, i wouldn't even consider a list for 'how things have changed' nooooooo! too long a list.

you didn't drink at 18 either?!?! No passion-pop?

Cibby, why no miniskirt :-P

Okay, next time we're out, Harry's pie, Stanmore maccas or a sleazy kabab when the bar closes.. ahhh lets go to one of your locals where licencing limits trade after 1am ;-)

Sarah, oh yea i remember one night after a 'cask of white wine' chasing possums in Hyde Park. It was a good idea at the time - LOL
