After my recent news of unemployment, I thought this is not the most important thing in my life, my life will not stop, I have so much on, so much to do in the coming weeks, the silly season is here and I'm partaking in everything I can.
This work things is a speed hump and this time I can say ‘at least I have my health’ unlike my last jobless period.
I must extend my gratitude to all my wonderful friends for their support and willingness to have a drink with me.

Love you all!!!
Friday night straight after work I had a birthday drink for my dad at The Dolphin Hotel.
Then Julia and I splurged on a great dinner at Bistro Moncur, French Onion Soufflé Yummm… Followed by the most delicious chicken meal I think I've ever had, the food was so rich neither of us could fit in dessert.
Well, when one door closes a window opens, I had just been commissioned to do some weekend work again, 2 hours at the most beautiful building in the city, a converted church into residential apartments starting from $690, 000 for a one bedroom without parking – kinda an 'in your face this is what you’re never going to afford' thing. No. Must stop that, one day I’ll be in the penthouse, right?
After my little work stint I met The Reverend Tim and his mates at WBJ for a little shopping – YAY! Big hug hello! Very exciting meeting another blogger for the first time! A million smiles! A nice cool beverage at The Eastern in the early afternoon hours…
I had a big night planned, boozin’ and shmoozin’ dinner and pub crawl with Cibby (my invitation was caught in the office spam filter a couple weeks ago, hence my little jealous post) I was to be Baz’s date for a party where I’d more than likely be seeing Sabre Boy. Since Tim and the boys were in town I invited them to join.
Dressed in Armani for that hint of confidence (much needed) V and I went to start out night at the Paddington Arms Hotel the starting point of our pub crawl, then the Light Brigade Hotel for a quick one, we walked down to The National, it was closing in 15 minutes – how did it get that late? With Paddo licensing restrictions starting to take affect we jumped on a bus that took way toooooo long into the city all due to the Robbie Williams concert.
When we finally arrived at The Arthouse to attend this party with an open bar, my mate had already left, he had witnessed some stabbing so called it a night – wuss!
We danced at The Hilton until someone had the idea of Karaoke… I generally hate karaoke, my voice is not a singing voice married with my daggy music taste, not a good idea in the past – I had an awesome time after my initial giggling and what am I doing here thoughts.
The sky was becoming lighter and jumped into a cab home for some shut eye. Not enough sleep later I was at J’s mum’s house for a little orientation as I’ll be house/dog sitting for the week. Couldn’t be better timing!
Part 2 of Dad’s birthday celebration was at The Lane Cove Steak House, 5 hours of eating and drinking, the most delectable steak smothered with béarnaise sauce, a couple bottles of red in the sun… I should not have driven home. 6pm I fell into bed for a cat nap.
I felt so good to be surrounded by friends and family all weekend. I have the best support network ever. A job will come and in the meantime life will not stop!

I was supposed to fly to Melbourne tomorrow for a few days but then the Boss told me I had some crap meeting that I had to attend here in town so he is going in my place ...wanker!!!
hey, look at you! And you're right...job is not the same as life! Good to see you living it :)
So the way to handle it! Well done Nat! Like J said 'good karma en route'
Yay, you! New outfit, healthy outlook - you'll be fine, Nat. Something will come along to go with the weekend work.
And re the penthouse, meh, who'd want to live in one anyway. The ones I've seen have all been white boxes with no soul.
You go there girl! Keep on living!
Good on you Nat! Love that fighting spirit! :)
And the French onion souffle is my fave at Bistro Moncur!
Scorps, I need a goos nights sleep, last nights cat nap didnt cut it. Damn bosses! Hate them all! When you come down to Sydney I'll take you out for a drink, one of your ol' fav haunts. OK?

Swagato
Ooh work already! Congrats!
LOVE the avatar BTW.
Y'know - the whole secure job thing can be over-rated. Just look at the freedom you've got to go out and do all that stuff. Run out of pennies? Just score some work like you've done and turn that into a sustainable model.
This could be a whole new brilliant chapter in your life...
And I second the avatar compliment - very cool! :o)
oh good on you Natalie, sounds like "the weekend you had to have" ;)
So you really met the Rev?? I had the chance and I chickened out... he walked right past me in Gloria Jean's ( don't ask why I was there, OK? ) a few months ago. He's blonder in real life, huh?? :P
"my daggy music taste"
You say that like it's a bad thing?
LOL. Keep your chin up. :)
Swagato - I'm not too worried about finding a job, it's more about finding an interesting job - took me 3 months last time.
Sarah, thanks about the avatar, back to my original one :-) Work was 2 hour open house inspection for property for sale, not fun, i got sunburnt too!
Ant, I am looking at all my free time, i can see people whenever i want, i can go out and get plastered on a weeknight - its all good :-)
GB - I want a weekend like that every week - except the expense! :-P
You should've said hello to Tim! He's a crazy one, awesome guy! I'm not even touching the Gloria Jeans visit, Noooooo!
I love my daggy music taste (obviously or it wouldn't be my taste) but im on the recieving end on the raised eye brow too often :-P
